FASLANE BLOCKADE

On the 12th February 2001, 279 people were arrested just out side Glasgow, protesting against Trident Nuclear Submarines and their weapons of mass destruction. Several members of the Warband took part in in this event.
This protest, organised by CND, crossed many divides both political and spiritual, Tommy Sheridan MSP (Scottish Member of Parliament, Scottish Socialist Party), George Galloway MP Labour and members of the Scottish Nationalist Party were also numbered in those arrested. As were Methodist, Baptist and Church of Scotland Ministers, a Buddhist Monk and even the occasional Pagan Priest and mad Druid King and priests of many other faiths.
Young and old were arrested side by side, fighting to make this planet a safer place for future generations. Political and spiritual differences put to one side, for the benefit of the common good.
Actions of this kind restore my faith in human nature.
